Leadership
Minister
Rev Jonathan de Groot is the minister of St Stephen's Comely Bank Church.
Elders
The Kirk Session consists of the minister and the elders. The role of the Kirk Session can be divided into the two primary capacities of oversight and shepherding. Oversight means they have responsibility on behalf of the congregation to implement St Stephen's Comely Bank's mission, vision and priorities as well as to provide appropriate financial controls and accountability. Shepherding means they provide for the spiritual care and nurture of St Stephen's Comely Bank members. Particular roles and duties of elders include pastoral care, prayer, serving on various committees and strategy groups as well as attending monthly Kirk Session meetings.
