Giving

Giving to support the work at St Stephen's Comely Bank Church

‘Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times; having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.' 2 Corinthians 9:7-8

All of the work at St Stephen's Comely Bank Church, within our own congregation, within the wider work of our denomination, with the people in our community, in our city, abroad and much else besides, is dependent on the generous giving of church family members and regular attenders. We are grateful for this partnership in the gospel through regular giving of time and money.

Standing Orders

The most helpful way to give is in a regular committed way, such as a standing order. This allows us to plan our finances much more easily.

Please fill in a FINANCIAL SUPPORT form and send/hand into the church office.

Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, we would encourage you to complete a Gift Aid form as this increases the value of your donation because we claim back the tax you have paid. Note that to qualify for Gift Aid you must pay UK income and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax reclaimed on your donations.

Please fill in a FINANCIAL SUPPORT form and send/hand into the church office.

Review

Do you review how much you give? The cost of everything goes up each year. We hope your income also rises regularly. Please consider adjusting your giving as well.

A Financial Support Form

Getting a form: there is one form for setting up a Standing Order and for Gift Aid. These are available at the back of the church (blue), entitled FINANCIAL SUPPORT or we will post you one (or you can collect one). Contact the office if you have any problems.
