Summer term 2023 session dates: If you are already on the register, we are back on Thursday 20th April 2023. This term will run for ten weeks, until 22nd June 2023. We’ll look forward to seeing you!

Not on the register? We are at capacity, which is great, but we’re sorry we can’t welcome you along just now. If you’d like to join the waiting list, please email office@comelybankchurch.com with your full name and your child/ren’s name/s and we’ll get in touch when you get to the top of the list.

Welcome to Comely Bank Families. We are a baby and toddler group that is open for children up to school age and their primary carers – be it mum, dad or whoever does all the hard work.

We know that caring for little ones can be both rewarding and tiring so this is a special time for parents to meet other local parents, have a chat and finish a hot drink. Meanwhile the wee ones can enjoy lots of fabulous toys, crafts, books and singing.

We meet on Thursday mornings, 9:30 – 11:15, term-time only at St. Stephen’s Comely Bank Church halls.

This service is provided by volunteers from St. Stephen’s Comely Bank Church. The £3 per child, entrance fee covers the costs of running the group. Snacks and drinks are provided for the wee ones and adults.

Rules

  • Members are asked to sign up for the term and their space will then be held.
  • If there is no space available, you will be added to the waiting list and offered a place as soon as one is available.
  • The entrance fee is £3 per child. This covers the price of snacks for children and adults and a gift for the children at Christmas and Easter.
  • The group is run by volunteers from St Stephen’s Comely Bank Church and is not for profit.
  • Your children are your responsibility at all times. If you’re popping to the loo, or grabbing a drink, just ask a volunteer or other parents to keep their eye on your child.
  • We know that little ones don’t always get along with each other. We ask parents and carers to encourage their children to share and take turns with each other.
  • The group benefits from the use of two large halls, and a designated, separated area for babies. We ask that toys with wheels are kept well away from the babies.
  • The group will follow Covid guidelines and best practice. Please don’t be surprised at being asked to wear a mask, or take a test in advance, if that is the guidelines of the day.
  • Please advise volunteers on arrival if your child has a food allergy.
