Sunday services involve a lot of people, from the Welcome team greeting people at the door, the folk handing out the teas and coffees, those doing the readings and prayers, people who give a lift to those who would otherwise struggle to attend, to the people keeping the lights and sound on.
Sunday’s at SSCB are a huge team effort. Each task is a small commitment but makes a big difference.
Volunteering for a rota means that you do one of these tasks once a month or less. If you can smile and welcome people, make a cup of tea or read during the service, then you have the skills we need in our team.
If you want to serve and prefer to stay behind the scenes, or you would like to play with some different technology, maybe tech team, or A/V team is for you. The tech team or A/V team, are the behind the scenes heroes of all services and events at St. Stephen’s. They keep the sound and lights on, ensuring that the band and speakers can be heard and the visuals are correct. No experience is necessary as full training and support will be given.
