Pray for all those that are ill and lonely either at home or in hospital. Pray for those who are fighting their own personal battles with darkness, and remember their families too!
Pray that as the church building is now open for private prayer visitors will come into our building and find a place of peace.
Pray that we are soon able to open the building on Sundays for public worship once given the go ahead by the Scottish Government and the Church of Scotland.
Pray for all the families at SSCB. A couple of families are expecting new babies very shortly and there are also families facing distress at this time.
Thy Kingdom Come – pray that in Home Groups and at Kirk Session we might work out not only what God is saying to us as a church but how we can put that into practice. Pray that all of us are ready to tune into God and be prompted by the Holy Spirit.
Wisdom as lockdown restrictions are lifted and we start to face the New Normal, and continue to be safe and that SSCB be a beacon for hope in the community.
Pray for the persecuted Christians and the suffering church in Sudan. Sudan is currently a place of great civil conflict and protests. Historically, Islam is deeply embedded in Sudan’s society and the ruling elite aims to enforce an Islamic regime in the country, strictly implementing the policy of one religion, one culture and one language. Many churches have been demolished, and church leaders have been arrested for speaking out against persecution. Blasphemy laws are being used to persecute Christians. Leaving Islam to follow Jesus is illegal and can be punished with the death sentence.
