Prayer Points – 26 June 2020

  1. Pray for our sisters and brothers who are unwell, had or are having a spell in hospital, or are in a constant battle with illness. Some of them are home. Some are recovering. Give thanks for the recoveries, and ask the Lord our Healer (Jehovah Rapha) for their swift return to full health.
  2. Pray that we can open the church and the church garden on 1st July for Private Prayer, that all Covid-19 related guidelines can be followed, and visitors will find a place of peace.
  3. Pray for all the work behind the scenes as we make the preparations for re-opening the church for Public Worship when that will be permitted.
  4. Pray for all SSCB Staff who will be returning after furlough that they will be refreshed and able to pick up their duties.
  5. Pray for the SSCB Youth Ministry as schools prepare restarting in August.
  6. Pray for the persecuted and suffering church in Turkmenistan. The strongly Islamic culture makes life difficult for converts to Christianity – conversion is regarded as an affront to the honour of the family. Persecution also comes from the state, as Protestant churches are seen as an alien sect aiming to depose the government.
