The story of the restoration of Peter is an encouragement to all of us, for we all fall away as he did, without exception. We all think, like Peter that we are strong and firm like a Rock. In fact we have to realise we crumble under pressure. The Risen Lord's mercy lifts up the fallen, gathers the 'crumbs' and reinstates them. His word for them is: Follow Me!
While we just talk about the resurrection, share theories, or theology about it it is easy to remain sceptical. Conviction comes from proof, personal proof, personal encounter with the risen Saviour. That resurrection proof will turn us into witnesses of the resurrection. The three points of this sermon are: 1) Resurrection Talk; 2) Resurrection Proof; and 3) Resurrection Witnesses
The main points of the message focus on the human heart. How an encounter with the risen Lord Jesus can transform: (1.) Troubled Hearts; and (2.) Slow Hearts; to (3.) Burning Hearts for the Gospel.
